Okay, people, I've lived in six states and even more houses, and I've NEVER shampooed a carpet. What's wrong with me? Is it something that only dog-owners have to do? (We have cats)
Am I a control-freak neatnik? (NO FOOD allowed outside of the kitchen!)
Who shampoos their carpets ... and why?

I have done that before, although I couldn't tell you when nor how. I should probably think about doing that again.
I have a dog with medical issues and she frequently barfs or poops on the rugs. We bought a Bissell Spot Bot and it's amazing and wonderful. I am not paid to say that, either. It's truly a wonderful product.
