Consider the 3/4 face pose, an old theatrical headshot trick. You don't want to be caught straight-on if you can help it, and you're at a disadvantage because you're taller than most people holding the camera. This puts your chin in the spotlight. The 3/4 pose should put the jaw bone, not the chin, in the spotlight.
