HOUSEFATHER OF THE BRIDE
"...look at my photo, at the details of my tool belt: banana, wooden spoon, feather duster..." -- Ad Hudler
Perhaps your daughter's dreaming of the the day,
Adorned with matrimonial aplomb,
When she tosses up a pink and white bouquet
And weds a spouse exactly like her mom.

I don't get it.
Since I haven't seen you in a while, my question is: When do you get so buff (and I don't mean your pate). Look at those guns! Have you been swimming in the river to rescue hapless boaters? Is there a feather-duster workout (and do feather dusters really work?) I haven't heard of? Perhaps the answers are to come in later postings...
I discovered power lifting about 18 months ago, and I am addicted now. It's a midlife thing, for sure. It was either new guns or a corvette. :)
You know, I didn't notice what was in the tool belt. Just that a big guy was wearing one. I think it's the crossed arms that looks a bit intimidating. Although I can see how it would be a good publicity photo, given what the book is about.
Keetha: I've been enjoying your blog...lots of personality. And thanks for the lead on Fredericksburg, Texas. Hadn't heard of that.
Hi Ad, my dear aunt Leah has appropriately pimped out your blog to the masses so here I am. Once I noticed all of the acoutrements (oven mitt, duster, banana, spoon) I thought it was quite cute. But they were so subtle I didn't notice them until the 3rd time I looked. Maybe if the oven mitt was more visible, or there was a spoon in hand or something bigger in the belt. *shrug* But I don't think you look intimidating and I think it's fine. Although I think Linc has a really charming smile.
